Last Wednesday, I gave a talk/reading on my book, Milk Glass Moon. The English department sponsored the event, and they wierdly and interestingly paired me with Chris C. who wrote a book about werewolves in Pigeon Forge. They called the event \”Fangs and Family\”!
I made it lucrative for my students to attend by offering a rare (for me) extra credit opportunity, so a few of them came and wrote a short essay about the event. I was pleased that they enjoyed the reading, and another teacher/friend told me her students enjoyed the event, so I am happy!
But, yes, there is a but! I was very nervous, and I just cannot figure why. I get in front of students every day without a hint of nervousness, and this wasn\’t much different: students, some colleagues, a larger room.
I also sold 4 books!
